Exodus on the hike

Traveling in Israel

Travel is always more than you expect. This is an experience of self-discovery.

“The world is a book, and those who do not travel have time to read only the first page” (St. Augustine).

What are we doing?

We travel around Israel (and not only) on foot and by bicycle.

We discover this country and its culture for ourselves and others.

We explore new places, paths and routes

A successful hike is not only an interesting route, but also great company.

Why follow the path?

One artist said: “To love a place, you need to draw it. To do this, look for a long time, look for an angle, and then transfer what you see to paper. The painted landscape is with you forever. Which means it’s already part of you.”

To accept a new country and yourself in it, you need to get closer to it, feel the roughness of its stones and the steepness of its roads, walk and drive, plunge and rise, sleep under the starry sky in the desert and meet the sunrise on a lake with a biblical name.

The land on which we find ourselves is saturated not only with the sun, the sweat and blood of its warriors and civilian workers, but also with meanings and stories. As we go hiking in Israel, we will learn to read this land like a large, exciting, interactive book

How does this happen?

We follow the announcements and let know if you want to go. Let's discuss the details and go hiking!

Who can become a participant?

Adults and children. Hardy and loving to walk – wander, or those who want to learn how to do it.

Who am I?

Route developer and leader of tourist groups: Tatyana Shelyganova

My name is Tatyana. Born and raised in St. Petersburg. I have a higher pedagogical and humanitarian education. I taught at a Waldorf school. I love travel, reading, nature and art, theater, and finding like-minded people in these areas. I have been involved in tourism for more than 35 years, and have been leading cycling, hiking, and water trips for 20 years. Participants in the hikes were my children, students, former students, their parents, brothers and sisters, my many friends, their children, “friends and acquaintances of the rabbit,” etc. I like to come up with new routes and lead them. And I love chatting with the guys, singing songs with a guitar, talking about everything in the world.
